I am a woman of a certain age.
Raised in a conservative Midwestern town and significantly impacted by the tumultuous events of the 60’s and 70’s, my career path led me to advocate on behalf of social justice through political and civil action.
Over the last four plus decades, I have worked on hundreds of campaigns, primarily with Democratic women, lived on both the east and west coasts and three major metropolitan cities.
I am currently the founder/chair of a political action committee (PAC), Welead OC, dedicated to encouraging Progressive Democratic women to step into their power as activists, campaign professionals and/or city council/school board candidates.
I’ve ventured onto this platform with the hope that if you are like me, coming up at a time in history where we straddled two very distinct and conflicting cultures —- one that fostered a traditional role for women, and another that gave birth to feminism —- that you will consider subscribing to GirlUnCensored, an interactive newsletter, where you will have an opportunity to express your opinions and share your insights as we navigate through these extraordinary and unprecedented times in our country’s history.
